Ghosts

Our love is gone.
Our hearts are bruised.
And letting go's the only choice to choose.
Though I still see
You in the fading light,
Hear your name when the rain falls,
Feel you in the deepest dark.
I can't keep holding
On to the ghost of you.
If you let go, darling,
Then I'll let go, too.
Oh, the current's strong,
And the wind is, too.
And letting go's the only thing to do.
We'll always live in photographs,
And we'll stay forever young
In a parallel universe.
But you can't keep holding
On to the ghost of me.
We'll both let go, darling,
On the count of three.
Oh, we can't keep
Holding on to these ghosts you know.
We'll be haunted, darling,
Til we both let go.
Til we both let go.
