A Reason

Nothing happens by chance.
Every step has its place.
The good days and the hard days, they are both a part of the plan.
Every fall taught me something.
Every rise showed me who I am.
People came into my life,
and some of them had to go.
Every one of them left a lesson,
even the ones that hurt me so.
There's a reason for it all.
Even when I cannot see.
Every high and every fall
is building who I'm meant to be.
I used to ask why this happened,
why that person had to leave.
Now I understand it slowly, it's the story I needed to receive.
Every loss made room for something.
Every gain showed me the way.
I just had to keep on climbing
to understand it one day.
There's a reason for it all.
Even when
I cannot see.
Every high and every fall
is building who I'm meant to be.
Nothing happens by chance.
Every step has its place.
